Bird of Paradise
captures the vitality, radical defiance & primordial strangeness of an otherworldly life-force that has flourished on our planet far before our species ever existed. The green is at once lively, and slightly nuclear.
The prints were created & produced by the artist at the sérigraphie (silkscreen) atelier of Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. The images of the piece show different views of the work, and is photographed with a 40×50cm/16”x20” painting for scale. You can view behind-the-scenes of the atelier & creative process.
10% of proceeds from the Dystopie Fleurs prints supports a wildflower garden that the artist cultivates in New York. The garden contributes to biodiversity & ecological regeneration and that also serves as a pollinator haven. The garden is a fundamental part of the artists research & practice.
